Before New York City was on lockdown, I boarded a flight to Florida for a nice weekend getaway. A four day vacation turned into two months in the Sunshine State. And with more time spent in the sun comes an added level of skin worry. You see, I'm not the best when it comes to wearing moisturizer with SPF, but the Dr. Jart Every Sun Day Mineral Sunscreen makes me actually want to wear it.
This sunscreen just hits different. Even though it's made with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, it doesn't give off a white cast or make you look like Casper the Friendly Ghost. The formula is light enough that your skin feels like it's breathing (an important distinction since some mineral sunscreens can feel like a mask). Not to mention, it's not greasy at all. The sunscreen dries down while still giving off a subtle glow. A little goes a long way with this stuff, too. All I need is a pea-size amount to cover my face and neck.
Even though we aren't going outside much these days, it is still important to wear SPF indoors. According to Joshua Zeichner, a board-certified dermatologist and the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, “UVA light penetrates right through window glass, so sunscreen is definitely useful even if you're inside.”
The protection Dr. Jart Every Sun Day Mineral Sunscreen gives is great for everyone, including sensitive skin types and darker skin tones. Whether you're going for daily walks or sitting inside all day, you'll never feel tempted to skip sunscreen again.
You'll find a sample of the Dr. Jart Every Sun Day Mineral Sunscreen in our July 2020 Allure Beauty Box.
