Affordable towelettes that make at-home tanning easy, safe, and stain-free.

Tanning comes with all kinds of cautionary tales, but the threat of skin cancer and looking like a dry, leathery pair of chaps when I’m older doesn’t stop me from wanting to make my fair skin bronze. Once I discovered Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer (a nine-time Allure Best of Beauty winner, incidentally), it became my skin — and mood — savior.

Now the formula comes in the much more convenient form of Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Towelettes, and they are prime getaway vacation material. Because they aren't a liquid or cream, like traditional self-tanners, you can throw these little packets in your carry-on bags without the potential threat of having them confiscated by airport security. Or you can bypass the pricey flights and travel stress altogether and use the instant glow to just convince everyone you took that fantasy beach trip.

These portable towelettes also take so much of the inconvenience out of self-tanning. One sheet is enough for my whole body, and because it's not as wet as a gel or mousse tanner, I have no fear applying it right before bed. Taking care not to accidentally touch my clothes or anything else that might get stained, I swipe the hydrating, vitamin E–infused wipe all over, going light-handed around the ankles, elbows, and knees.

Then I wash my hands and make sure to let the formula dry all the way down before getting into bed — these towelettes are highly pigmented but the formula doesn't transfer once it's dry. That's it. I go to bed dreaming of the tropics, and when I wake up it almost looks like I’ve been there.
