HOW IT LOOKS/FEELS:
The formula goes on very wet but dries quickly and creates a feathery effect. Though it contains lengthening fibers, they don't fall off into your eyeballs, meaning this mascara is safe for even those who wear contacts or have sensitive eyes.
WHY WE LIKE IT:
Not only does this formula never seem to dry out or start to clump the way even our former favorites have after a month of opening and closing, dip after dozens of dips; the cool, oddball brush allows you to both deposit a ton of pigment and then smooth it out perfectly. Allow us to explain: The brush is definitely funky and took some getting used to. We'll save you the trouble of figuring it out with a lesson on how to use it. (Or at least the method that worked best for our editors.) First, take a close look and you'll see that this brush is not round, or even oval. It's flat—almost shaped like a spearhead. Weird. Why? We found that the two really flat sides with the supershort bristles are great at depositing a boatload of pigment at the base of our lashes. Then we switch to one of the sides with the much longer bristles to spread that pigment up and out along our lashes for great separation and lengthening. This formula isn't about big, thick lashes. But if you're looking to coat every single little lash you have, and make them as long as possible without looking creepy and spidery, then this is your stuff.
