Sweet-almond, sesame, evening-primrose-seed, and camelina oils (moisturize); bergamot (antiseptic and awesome smelling); jasmine absolute (also awesome smelling); sea-buckthorn oil and vitamin E (antioxidants); stabilized retinol, a blend of retinol, tocopherol, and sodium ascorbate (fights wrinkles)
HOW IT LOOKS/FEELS/SMELLS:
A clear, slightly yellow, very light oil, it smells like a slightly spicier Earl Grey tea (that's the bergamot).
WHY WE LIKE IT:
The oil has various ingredients, including anti-aging gold-standard retinol, designed to fight wrinkles and discoloration over time. But what we really care about with this oil is the here and now. It not only makes dry skin feel soft and hydrated, it gives a beautiful, subtle dewiness and sheen that you didn't even know you were missing. And the smell and feel of it are awfully luxurious for an inexpensive product. We pat a little (not more than a teensy drop) straight on clean skin—if your skin is closer to normal, it could replace moisturizer; very dry types, use a light one on top—and makeup slips right on and blends seamlessly. But our favorite way to treat it is swirling a drop into moisturizer for extra hydration, then another drop in our foundation or BB cream to make it sheerer, smoother, and glowier. However you apply this oil, we found that using only a tiny bit was key. Too much and after a run up a flight of stairs, you get that feeling like sweat is being trapped on your skin.
