It should come as no surprise that Michelle Lee’s manicure is perpetually on point (especially if you follow her on Instagram). She is, after all, editor in chief of a beauty magazine. What’s shocking, however, is that she often paints her own nails (like, how on earth does she have the time, let alone the steady hand, to create such precise geometric designs?). As it turns out, you don’t necessarily need either, just an array of pretty pink polishes from the March Allure Beauty Box and a genius nail hack to get the job done.
Step 1: Material girl
Before you get started, gather all of the materials you’ll need: a pair of scissors, a sheet of paper reinforcements (you can buy these at any office supply or drugstore), and two complementary shades of polish. Michelle went monochromatic with her mani, using two variations of pink*: Londontown Lakur Enhanced Colour in Cheerio (sheer pink) and Fruit Tella (a magenta that would make Barbie envious). But we urge you to let your imagination run wild and use a color combination that suits your own personality.
