Last July, everyone was buzzing about the new body launches from Kylie Skin: the Coconut Body Scrub, Coconut Body Lotion, and — perhaps the most highly anticipated product at the time — the Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Oil. The sunscreen became an instant hit, but since it was made specifically for lower 90 percent of the body, it left fans begging for UV defense for the face. And now, a year later, Kylie Jenner is delivering.
"Introducing our invisible Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen," reads the caption on the Kylie Skin Instagram grid revealing the new product. "This colorless formula is the perfect addition to your daily routine as your last step to protect and moisturize, and the perfect primer for your makeup!"
Jenner also added a few clips to her own Instagram Stories in which she recruits a couple of friends to try the formula.
"First off, I've never seen a sunscreen that color, so that's cool," Harry Hudson says as he looks at the generous dollop in his hands. The color he's referring to is... clear.
"This is completely invisible," Jenner replies before getting Fai Khadra's reaction.
"The fact that it's clear? You know when you put sunscreen on and it's all white?" Khadra says as he applies it to his face. "Never again. Never again."
"It hydrates you, actually, without feeling greasy. It's completely invisible, fragrance-free," Jenner says, turning the camera back on Hudson. "It looks like you have nothing on. It's super light. It's kind of silky."
It's not yet entirely clear what kinds of sun-filtering ingredients are used in the new Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen; however, Jenner does say that it's reef-safe, suggesting that it may not include chemical filters like oxybenzone and octinoxate.
If this sounds like the sunscreen you've been waiting for, you only have to wait a little longer: Kylie Skin Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen launches on kylieskin.com on Thursday, July 9.
