We’re Loving Oprah Winfrey’s Burgundy Lipstick at the 2020 Emmys

The TV icon brought classic beauty elements to her appearance at the highly untraditional award show.

At the Emmys 2020, Oprah Winfrey made an appearance to present Tyler Perry with the Governor's Award, honoring his contributions to the television industry. During her brief time on screen, she wowed viewers with her signature caramel-brown hair in a gorgeous, high-shine blowout. While H.E.R. bedazzled her hair and Gabrielle Union slipped on a shower cap for the big event, the iconic media mogul stuck with a classic look.

Winfrey's sleek hairstyle for the virtual award show was accompanied by another timeless beauty element: burgundy lipstick. With fall upon us, the color is getting us ready to dive into the cozy, deep makeup tones of the season. If you're looking to a shade similar to Winfrey's, try the Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Ruby in RubieZ, which just won a Best of Beauty Award, or the Nyx Professional Makeup Shout Loud Satin Lipstick in Opinionated if you're looking for darker oxblood color. Her cheeks seemed to have a coordinating shade on them, too.

On her lids, Winfrey had graphite black shadow smoked out all over to give her eyes some definition underneath her chic, circular glasses. The metal frames were the perfect match for the metallic elements for her Emmys 2020 look.
