Today in highly unexpected celebrity news: Pete Davidson has allegedly decided to ditch his massive ink collection. And yes, we're talking the entire lot, which up until recently, included over 100 tattoos.
The news was revealed not by Davidson himself but by film critic Mike McGranaghan, who shared the entertainer's decision on Twitter after a virtual event with the cast of The King of Staten Island. "Just attended a virtual Q&A with the Judd Apatow and the cast of THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND," McGranaghan tweeted earlier in December. "And here's a scoop: Pete Davidson is in the process of getting all his tattoos removed!"
Naturally, fans were shocked by the news, and some of them seem to be less than thrilled. For instance, one fan responded, "I won't stand for this," while another added, "No😭 someone stop him." Additionally, others responded with some skepticism, to which McGranaghan responded: "No, it's real. He even showed his hand, which is already done. He said it takes 3-4 hours in the makeup chair to cover them, so he figured 'it would be easier to get them burned off.'"
Speaking of getting them burned off... it's no secret that the tattoo removal process is a pretty painful one. In fact, earlier this month, Kelly Osbourne shared some up-close footage of herself undergoing the procedure, and she said it's "1000000000000 times worse" than getting tatted. Of course, everyone's pain tolerance is different, so if you're thinking of having a tattoo removed, don't let Osbourne's personal experience deter you.
