These days, beauty collaborations are everywhere. Whether Kylie Jenner is teaming up with one of her sisters for her cosmetic empire or Colourpop is collaborating with Disney to bring us a Mulan-themed collection, we've pretty much seen it all — or so we thought. Pat McGrath Labs, which has recently announced Naomi Campbell as the face for its Divine Rose collection, has just announced a partnership with Supreme and holy shit, I'm so excited.
You may have heard of the skateboarding and streetwear brand Supreme, which has also collaborated with Louis Vuitton, Nike, and even New York City MetroCards. Now, the brand is officially entering the beauty realm by teaming up with no other than the legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath to create the ultimate Supreme-branded red lipstick.
In a press release sent to Allure, Pat McGrath Labs calls this partnership an "iconic collaboration," a statement we totally stand by. Though Supreme has been around for 26 years, this will be its first beauty launch.
Over the weekend, Pat McGrath Labs teased the collection on Instagram, and fans have been guessing what the launch would be, though they may not have been expecting this.
According to the press release, the lipstick will only come in one shade (the signature Supreme bright-red hue) and will be formulated in Pat McGrath Labs’ MatteTrance formula, which is extremely comfortable and long-wearing, especially for a matte lipstick. As a Supreme super-fan and a Pat McGrath Labs stan, I have extremely high expectations for this lipstick, and I'm certain it will not disappoint.
The lipstick will be named "SUPREME" and will be available in the Supreme Fall/Winter 2020 collection only on supremenewyork.com. We reached out to Pat McGrath to find out how much this beauty will sell for, but we suggest saving your pennies since it'll probably be a splurge.
